Sir Luscious Left Foot

I spent the week with some good buddies and an ipod filled with the songs that I’m currently least likely to listen to. As initially tragic as this seemed, it not only forced me to give some old favorites a re-listen, but it also made me concede to the musical selections of my friends. One song that she insisted on playing over and over is Big Boi’s “Fo Yo Sorrows,” off his new LP “Sir Luscious Left Foot… The Son of Chico Dusty.” While I don’t have the whole album right now, I thoroughly enjoy the three tracks I’ve posted below, and the few times I listened to the whole thing I was far from disappointed. I feel that Andree 3000 gets much more hype than Big Boi, probably because Andree was extremely innovative and showed a huge range of styles on “The Love Below” much more so than Big Boi did on “Speakerboxxx.” All I can say about Sir Luscious Left Foot is that its so good, i didn’t care that we were two white girls blasting this shit through the north country, and made me very much want some hydraulics. That is all.
